TRANSFORMERS 4 NEWS UPDATE

First : Michael Bay Confirmed To Direct ‘Transformers 4,’ No Cast or Story Yet, Release Set For June 2014
Beating the trades to the scoop, Michael Bay took to his own website to say:
There has been a lot of speculation about what I’m going to do next and when or if I will do another Transformers. So let me set the record straight.
I have just concluded a deal with Paramount to do two movies, but it won’t be two Transformers.
I will first do ‘Pain & Gain’ with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Then I will do the next Transformers for release on June 29, 2014.

Second: TRANSFORMERS 4 To Have Less Jokes, More Action
Paramount Pictures recently announced that a fourth Transformers film will hit theaters June 2014, with Michael Bay returning to direct. Now, Badass Digest claims that a source close to the production of the sequel has revealed some interesting tidbits concerning the film. Despite being called a ‘re-imagining’ when it was first announced, the source says that it will be a direct sequel to Dark Of The Moon but will not be shown through Sam Witwicky’s point of view. It’s also unknown which of the human characters (if any) will return.
The source also dropped some info that should please those who didn’t like Michael Bay’s prior Transformers films. It appears that the director is keen on cutting back on the crude humor that has been featured in the previous films, and will make it more action-packed. “Michael realized it needs to be more like the last hour [of Dark of the Moon],” the source told Badass Digest.
Third: Josh Duhamel Says None Of The Cast Returning For TRANSFORMERS 4
While attending a party for Sony PlayStation’s new PS Vita portable entertainment system actor Josh Duhamel was asked by E! about Michael Bay continuing on with the Transformers franchise. More specifically he was asked if he was reprising his role in the next film as Lt. Colonel William Lennox, “I don’t think anybody’s doing it,” said Duhamel. “I know Shia [LaBoeuf]’s not doing it. I don’t think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it.” He also went on to say that he is not surprised that Paramount is moving forward with more Transformers films since the last on grossed over 1 billion dollars at the box office last summer. “Whenever these movies make that much money they’re going to make as many as they can, but I haven’t heard anything about it. They haven’t called me.”
Transformers 4 is scheduled to hit theaters June 27th, 2014.
